Super Jet 1990 superjet will not shut off.

I have a 1990 superjet that the kill switch does not work on. I cleaned the contacts, still nothing, you have to pull a plug wire to shut it off.

i had a bad start/stop switch before and i cleaned it until it looked perfect inside but it still didnt work. bought a new one and it fixed the problem.

at least you didnt learn that the hard way. my worst nightmare is watching my ski run off wide open into something!

figured it out today, the connectors were very corroded, I cleaned them best I could, and put some dielectric grease in them, I am going to order a couple of connectors from yamaha next week to replace them.

you could pick some up at your local parts store for next to nothing

The yamaha dealer wanted 22 bucks a piece, so I headed over to autozone, with no luck. Looks like I am going to have to order some off of ebay.

your looking in the wrong place... butt connectors + heat shrink... bullet proof....

wrong, salt water gets into everything eventually. and that will not allow you to remove anything. msd sells connectors that are like the seadoo ones. has seals like oem so its protected and will disconnect. mcmaster sells the kit you need bro. http://images2.mcmaster.com/Contents/gfx/large/9171tc1l.png?ver=10826174
