Inorder to get my new 550sx started I have to remove and clean the sparkplugs each time.
After I clean the plugs the ski starts up perfect!
After I shut it down after running it will not start again until I clean the plugs off!

What can cause this issue??

I have tried to lean out the low speed adjuster on carb but no difference!

jeez, do you know about the search feature, or believe in doing a little research. any problem on any ski, someones has had the exact same problem and posted it here. anyways.....read this. it may help point you in the direction to check a few things. what year sx is it. 90 or 91+ if it is the 1990sx it still has the piston port motor without reeds so it will probably be the needle and seat.

compression is good!

I took the carb apart and noticed the Little spring on the needle/seat seemed to be worn out(not 100% sure what worn out looks like though)! It didnt push up hard enough to push the little metal rod all the way down into the seat!

so.......I took a left over spring(little longer) from another carb rebuild kit and put that in there and put the carb back together.
It seemed to fix my "flodding" problem but now I can only run the thing off the gas I squirted in from the primer.

Could putting a longer spring with more tension cause this too happen?? Do you think putting a entire new neddle/seat will fix this issue?? The carb seals and pump thing look like new!
Do most kawasaki dealers stock needle needle/seat sets or do they come with a carb rebuild kit??

thanks

Well...... I have tried a couple different size springs and none of them seem to allow the ski to get fuel at idle!

I start it off the primer fuel and then can only keep it running if I keep giving it WOT! I also noticed that no fuel is dribbling out of the carb but instead it is like blasting out every once in a while while I have it WOT.

What does the silver screw in the picture below control??
