1986 Kawasaki JS550 troubleshooting problem

I bought a JS550 that sat for 2 years I finally put a new battery inside my JS550 and it turns over just fine but it won’t start. I cleaned the carburetor and the fuel filter

For an engine to run, you need spark, fuel, and compression. You need to figure out what is missing from this equation, and trouble shoot from there.
