I have a SJ with an 8mm Stroker and was wanting to know if I would be helping or hurting to swap the stock pump with a 155mm pump. I primarily do flatwater and rough lake riding.

Any input would be appreciated.

I will be testing a 155 conversion in a couple of months. I will measure and post the static thrust, RPM, and top speed in comparison to my best 144 setup. Im trying for more thrust between 0-15mph. My 144 testing suggests there is too much pressure drop at the inlet limiting the max static thrust. A 155 with a matching inlet and larger outlet should do better at low speed for a given amount of power. So far 600lbs and 50mph is the max for my 144.

That would be excellent info to have kevbo. I'm guessing a rather low pitched prop will be required but that's just a guess.

Skat makes low pitch 7-12 swirl props for 700 and 760 ventures. That is what I have and it is very flat.
