140mm Magnum Pump bored

Hey guys, has anyone ever bored a 140mm Magnum to 144 or 148??

I know that the major 140-148 are built from 144 Yamaha parts and also all of these runs the same vein section.

if stator section is at 140 then no it can't unless you manually hog out the stator too.
the wear ring can be bored if liner is thick enough.

Wear ring has enough material...
Stator section I doubt that Skat has 3 different for 140/144/148 (when it is made from Yam parts) and setback.

My stator section looks like it has a small diameter where impeller goes, like 1 or 2mm smaller.

BTW, I dont think it is a big deal to have a bit smaller stator...

stator is usually slightly larger than wear ring by about 2 to 4mm on total diameter.so yes,skat makes different stators depending on final pump size for flow reasons.

Kawasaki YES. The stator section is about 145mm and the front where the prop goes is anywhere from 140-145mm

Yamaha twins NO. The stator section is either 140,142,144,148 and the impeller overlaps with the front wear ring. I know of 4 different diameters with 6,8,12,&14 vanes. Most were 12 & 14 vane 140. Stainless and titanium.
