Just a heads up because most people don't know this but an 1100 crankshaft is exactly the same with the exception of the front bearing assy. Basically in the same way Yamaha used the same crankshaft in everything from 650 to 760 engines all they did on 1200's was up the bore size, same crankshaft stroke.

I have used 1200 cases before to build 1100 engines because new 1200 cases were around $360.00 and new 1100 cases were $1100.00 . I have also had 1100 sleeves bored out and used them for 1200 engines, lots of interchangeable parts between these two engines.
