1 piece vs 2 piece 155mm Mag pumps

I want to know which pump performs better.

I know the advantage of the 2 piece pump is that it's easier to change the prop.

Xscream uses a 1 piece pump for a lighter weight advantage.

But which pump performs better?

In my honest opinion there is no difference in performance from the same manufacturer between one and two pc pumps. The only diff is the seam. That does not affect perf. Now from manufacturer to manufacturer there are differences.

I have tested all. I have opinions but am biased as im affiliated with Torrent pumps. Best pump is the one you can afford and the one that someone helps dial you in on. Same with motors and carbs.

I was researching the same question. It sounds like a one piece pump typically wont the crack at the stator area due to corrosion.

I think the two piece is pressed in by the stator and over time a two piece is more prone to have the stator crack from corrosion ( salt or even fresh).

SUMMARY
One piece
- More durable at the stator, but you have to pull the seal every time to change the prop.

Two piece
-Prone to crack at stator. It's not real common, but it does happen.
-You don't have to pull the seal to do prop changes.

This was my understanding, so hope that helps. I'm sure there are more pros and cons, but that is what my conclusion was.
