08-up SJ

Don 79 TA

Still Fat....
looking for some feedback on the later model SJ's
I was thinking of redoing my 02, but have been deciding to keep mine as a spare and build a new one

how much better handling/hook up are the newer SJ's?
i have also thought about buying a Blowsion built ski as well

Personally i love my current setup and figured it would be perfect as a back up for us or for anyone who visits

I wanted to get her a newer SXR as well, but she wants to keep hers as is for now.

just some ideas i am tpying around with
I do plan to visit the Finals and see what the various vendors offer.....

If i decide on a new SJ, the turn off is i can't get the 24-7 hood that i have (and other goodies).
personally, Chris made some AWESOME CHIT...... i seriously regret not buying the carbon fiber pole when i had the chance. His stuff is absolutely the best quality i have seen....

The 08+ sj's hook up and handle like nothing else; better than any other configuration possible on the old superjet. I would rather ride my stock 08 than ANY other hopped up superjet or sxr out there.

I rode one the other day and compared to my heavily modded 2002 it felt very 'refined'.. much easier to ride and carves/hookes up almost as well as an SXR. It didn't want to slide out much for freestyle tricks though (it was stock) having said which a stock pre 2008 doesn't either without mods.. you'd need to crank up the steering on one to make an accurate assesment of how they compare, the 2 x I've ridden have been bone stock. I would go for it, you can always grind some of the rear skegs off if its still too grippy for you..

Know what you mean on the 24/7 stuff, I have an SR71 and its awesome... 4yrs old and not so much as a stress mark in it! The Rolls Royce of hoods without a doubt.
