We have a few in australia
it would seem they handle as well as the sxr and i am guessing they will still be good in the surf due to there light weight

I doubt it's going to be THAT different... I do wonder about the trim system it has... I know its in a fixed position, but I've been wondering if the parts that we can order from yamaha will then be an easy CATS conversion... I know the superjet reduction nozzle is different than the Raiders... right? I wonder if the bosses are in the best position to make the most up trim...

it does not handle as well as the sxr. it stays hooked up better than the previous sj and has more lean to the turns. It doesn't rail like an sxr by any means, but is a great handling ski. This has been told to me by a veteran racer who lives in havasu and test rode the ski a long time ago.

I would assume by what he told me, it will still be good for freestyle.

word on the street is that it's hard or nearly impossible to quick-turn like you would to hit a setup wave for a BF or similar. It may just take some getting used to.

I was talking to Parr about that a few hours after his ramp jump......... That may be correctible depending on how the trim was set up, may have been a tad nose down, my SXR will not turn tight for nothing (like a setup wave turn) because it rides nose down..... tweek it for nose up and it could change how it handles.
