08+ SJ quick steer without pre 07 cable

If I take my stock 08 SJ and do the quick steer mod by tapping the outside hole on turn plate and drilling a hole closer to the nozzle for cable, will doing this make a difference if I keep my 08 cable or do I need to get a pre 08 to see a difference?

You will notice a difference
You will need to cut out some plastic on chin pad to clear cable end
Also tap a screw in your steering stop so the bars will actually touch the stop
Ski will turn more to the right then the left (unless u can adjust the cable length)

You won’t be able to do the nozzle without a longer cable

Gotcha ok well maybe ill just buy a pre 08 cable and do those mods as well
