My 09 Superjet hull took a while to get dialed in. I was using handling parts off my 2000 round nose and that was part of the problem. Ski was to nose heavy even for bouy riding. It came down to getting further back on the ski . I had been using a 24/7 lowered bracket that was also 1 inch forward. Worked great on old hull but not this 09. Got a cold fusion lowered bracket. Also liked shortened turn plates on old hull , not on this . I'm using 2,000 h pole and Umi steering with long turn plate. Was running an R&D super deep grate which worked great on old hull , but not on this . It was over stuffing the pump if that is possible and lifting the rear when letting off gas . Picked p a word grate for 08 and it's much better. Been swapping between wamiltons carbon , and worx plate. Bought a new worx plate here on forum and figured out why it was for sale. Warped and too wide. After some grinding , be Ning l and trueing it perfect. Also got out the. Pipe and sandpaper and true hull . Anything else I could do to lighten up the nose helped including 2 lb ballistic battery. Threw on a set of tubby destroyers that I wasn't sure about at first. Took them off and put back on a few times then left them on. Only time I could see pulling them off would be for shredding some glassy water early in the morning .
I am running 14 vein setback mag with protec dump nozzle. I like pulling the trim Down while accelerating up the face of a wave to keep nose down and level as it leaves , and for starts.
