I may be looking at an 06 SX-R, with approx. 50 hours on it....is that a lot time on the motor??? and where do the hand poles crack? Thanks

IF that motor only has 50 hours on it and was taken care of it should last a long time. Take a good compression tester, they should be about 150 PSI, + or - about 5 psi or so between holes is fine. The poles crack at the top under normal conditions. (IE it WILL have small cracks in it).

mine 2, I had a sand sucker in daytona (front flip over the pole) followed by a wave jump that I didn't let go in time :banghead:& hyper-extended the pole. rode it out the weekend but went to a dales jet sports pole & have not had any problems since
