so i just bought my first SJ its a 06 and im going to pick it up this weekend, its in illinois and i live in MD but go to school in NC, am i going to have to rejet the carbs if its commin from illinois to NC or MD??? i have experience with dirtbikes and i know 2strokes need rejetting alot depending on temp and elevation

I'm sure someone else more qualified can answer your question about the carb jets, but...if it has a B-pipe or similar on it, you may want to re-tune the water jets too if the water temps are considerably different where you are going to ride it.

He ment if it has a b pipe, if its bone stock not got a b pipe and you dont have to worry, as for jetting you can probably get away with leaning it out a hair. Run it how it is and see how it performs. The worst it will do is run rich right now. I would start by running it and seeing how bad the performance is. From there pending performance I would adjust them accordingly... I have taken my superjet from 1K to 5K and only had to adjust it 1/8th turn

BBYamaha - what do you mean when you said 1K-5k?

I have a 2005 SJ stock except for the MSD4253; it is hard as hell to start...any suggestions?
