Hey yall,
I recently purchased a superjet from a buddy of mine for cheap..it wasn't taken care of the best but cheap. I threw a new battery in and it fired right up no issues. Drove it back to AZ went to start it and it sounded like it would want to start right when you push the start button but wont. Long story short I have been reading the forum the Ski has a spark (pretty strong) right when you click the start button then nothing. I took the E-Box apart it was pretty corroded, looked bad. I cleaned everything and got a new coil/plug wires from JetManiac installed, still the same result. I changed the fuse as it was wet (just cause), tested the start/stop switch by unplugging the black and white wire and tested the ground by running a wire from the negative terminal on the battery to the front of the engine block, still one strong spark and then nothing. I took the flywheel cover off there wasn't any standing water looked pretty clean, there was some black sludge almost like grease around the casing walls inside not bad though.
Basically after all i've read i'm thinking its the stator or the cdi. What I don't know is if its better to start with one or the other since it has spark right away then nothing? Any help or thoughts are greatly appreciated. I attached some photos below, they're not the best but the motor is still in the ski at this point.
