It's a personal preference but since your just going to rec ride you should enjoy it a bit. Ride both before you buy. SXR is easier to ride and can run very well in a stock form with a couple of aftermarket parts to enhance it performance. I've had 4 SXR's and 2 Pro's. I love my Pro still...

It has a completely new bottom. It's not a HX bottom but does use a Seadoo Pump.

I understand where you can see why the seat wouldn't work but it's the look (x-cross style). It's more of a cover that would be going over lightweight frame more like a tail section of a motocross bike or a racing ATV. Also this allows of different positions for a rider's preference.
