    Kawasaki X2 Handling

This is the winter after my second season racing Jettribe Mid America WaterX Championship, by Nauti Water Racing. 1989 X2 AJP front tubbies, Jet dynamics intake grate and ride plate. What can be done for better handling?

    X2 prop ????

So, I spent some time at the lake yesterday. I removed the intake grate to see if I was just over stuffing the prop. Still the rpm's 6500 so that wasnt it. I removed the ocen pro nozzle and put a stock x2 nozzle on. no change there. The best I have gotten is 45mph and 6562 rpm. So i'm over...

    Tubbies and exhaust

There seems to be a lacking of information on doing this. Google just gives me a bunch of forums of people talking about rear exhaust with tubbies and the only real pictures are flat decked. @WFO Speedracer Can I use your pictures when I make an actual post about doing rear exhaust? I have seen...

    Tubbies and exhaust

I had already started before I saw your post. No spare water boxes to be had but plenty of determination. I had cut out foot bed with an oscillating tool. The pipe is in and foam should be here today.

I don't have a stock box and no one around me had a spare. Genius!

    Tubbies and exhaust

Only if you have the right water box. I can't find any pictures of anyone doing that but I know have seen them in the past.

    Tubbies and exhaust

So adding Tubbies turned into quite the project. I need exhaust relocation ideas. I saw some once with the exhaust above the bond flange on the front side. Or is rear about the only option. West Coast water box has 90's coming out one both lines

    X2 prop ????

Here is the last dumb question for the day. What does the 10/16 mean?

    X2 prop ????

I was looking at this backwards. Less pitch is more like the 4:11 gears and higher pitch is more like 2:55?

    X2 prop ????

Well it is a 10/16 it was just re-pitched to a 11/17. So what is the difference? Glen said that Mariner was a straight 16.

    X2 prop ????

It is a hooker 11/17 What do you suggest?

    X2 prop ????

I got everything back and lost about 500 RPM only running about 6500-6600. Coming out of the hole is better but only getting about 43MPH on flat water. I think my pump is loading up with water. It was recommended that I cut my intake grate down some.

    X2 prop ????

I sent my pump, prop and reduction nozzle off to Impros. Glen is going to get me hooked up. No more Mariner and I can get leave the XXX2 alone.

    89 X2 with a 750 small pin, Sudco blue 42mm Help?

After spending some time on the water last weekend. The ski is running really strong on the top end. about 7500 RPM on flat water. It does not have the rip your arm off feel i would like on the line but it is good enough until I can determine the correct jet sizes. Low screws are about 1 1/8 out...

    89 X2 with a 750 small pin, Sudco blue 42mm Help?

I had a primer tube brake. When I clipped the end it broke again. I decided to replace all the fuel lines including the primer lines. and thats when I found this. Fuel filter tucked behind the brace and bilge line. I guess Its time to start over since it might be getting fuel now.
