Id probably also put some screws in the drain plugs. They seem to be sticking out past the chine. Drag from the water may rip it off and I think thats pretty close to where the trailer bunks rest

I believe that fitting is further back in the pump to create a venturi so its pulls water OUT of the hull. Its really not hard to pull the pump, then drill and tap it.

@bach6177 do you have any recommendations on mounting my chan rideplate. Cut it shorter, special mounting hardware or reinforcing? Just asking because this is my first chan build and id like to keep my brand new plate in tact

What are you doing with the rideplates. Are you running them the way they come from Gary or are you modifying them
