Thanks all. I'll try and crank it down some more. Also....anyone know what kind/size screws hold on the nose piece? Mine were knocked off in front of the gas tank/water box area. Lost forever unless I yank everything out.

How tight can I go before risking breaking something? I have it pretty darn tight, and it still wants to go up a bit. And this is a 2005 spring. (Afaik)

Bought an 05 superjet a couple weeks ago. The previous owner had taken the pole spring off for his preference. I rode it and was very fatigued by the heavy pole. He had included the spring for me. I just installed it, and now the pole stands straight up! did I do something wrong?

The rear one is milky/brown, but once wiped off, really clean. The front one still has 150psi but is very charred looking. Not rusty, just charred on the piston head. Could be my cell pic in the sunshine not helping.

Looking at the head before I took it off, all around looked good. Once off, the only part of the head that was milky was the rear cylinder dome. The rest of the head was dry. So should I assume that the head gasket was fine since there were no signs of water seepage from the top?
