It depends what hull your on and flatwater, surf, boat chaser? I chase boats and ride surf. So there’s only 1-2 times I’ll ever be in back footholds and that’s to flip/roll boat wake or tiny shore break surf. ( no I’m not afraid to hit sand bar ) 97% of the time in surf stance for flipping...

For the gas tank i made a box tray out of hydro turf the oem tank sits in. And tow loop is my pole limiting rope. 7ft nylon rope with 2 stainless carabiner hooks. Quick connects under pole pad.

Haha yep! I didn’t ride much I was done after a week straight of surf riding every day. Kinda just chilled around. Plus surf was flat.

I’d imagine your right but for me on the way way opposite coast i have yet to get out to a west coast ride. Which I feel I’d love because there’s nothing worse then a surf event with no surf. And the east coast ones can be real hit or miss with that.

I still have my 2015 glass FS. It’s been nothing but awesome to me since new. No issues no problems at all. Hull has some beach rash on bottom ( typical we ride surf )and I still love it. I’d like a 2018-19 just because I like the new colors lol

That’s the truth my friends who have sparks don’t jump them anything like a stand up they just cruise the rivers and post up lol. If I took that thing to surf I’d probably destroy in in a season.

If there was a way to have a solid non flexing it’s ass off plastic hull I’m sure FF would have nailed that. The spark it’s totally different yes it’s plastic but not hulklite. It’s also just ridden around tame compared to the things many of us do on stand ups. Like James said it’s well...

My favs for me have been my Edge, my old fr2, a Evo and I liked the predator a lot too. I don’t think I’d want anything shorter then those hulls in average surf.
