The market changes depending where you live simply because it's a small sport. Here in the Washington DC, Maryland areas Rn Sj prices are way down. There's a 2014 on the dealer floor for $6750 here why pay $4800 for that ski above!? Yeah so an so ski might have mods but to me a stock all new...
Rip curl hooded 6/5. 3mm gloves 7mm QuickSilver booties. For air temps low 40s water low 40s here. I'm 155lbs and I would freeze to death In a 3/2 you guys are insane. I wanna know if I fall in and have to swim over 50 seconds I won't die.

I can't speak for everyone and their reasons for upgrading but I will bet it's the same as mine which was to move to a edge because of the new features, handling, all the updates. Not because my old one was tired at all. I see that thing lasting decades.

It's not cracks in the fiber it's cracks on the gel coat/paint from flexing on the Rickters. Now a superjet yeah those crack all the way through if you give it a dirty look.

I had a fs2 it was solid. But also was reinforced by rickter. And I can promise you nobody is breaking that. I imagine a average pro still won't hurt a regular fs2. Maybe if your slamming the side in 20ft waves in Aus all day.

Ordered my edge from Tc 1.5 months ago too! Can't wait! He was awesome to deal with. These hulls are going to be a blast all around.

I agree totally but just my instant opinion was I feel way too cramped up. Just was enough to determine its not for me. I mean anyone can spend tons of time on X hull to get use to it. Maybe that's what I woulda needed. I'm your same exact size lol. But that's also good proof of personal...
I know you wanna defend what you like but that's hardly the truth....deeper chines maybe sorta the only comparison. Edge has less rocker then a evo did....It's like all mx riders prefer their bikes setup totally different, well what you like I may not all these hulls are like shoe sizes to me...
I was In the same position end of summer. I road as many hulls as I could. My style is sorta like yours 50/50 river chasing big boats and surf. Although I'm way less concerned about flatwater I wanted a roomy tray, hull that can rip turns aggressive not just slide like a cookie sheet on a frozen...
Nice! I'd love to try a fp1 or fpx. I haven't seen any in person but I forgot them. I'd put them high on my list that's for sure.

He's in a " race stance " most the time but no you don't have to ride the ski bent over like that. Here's the thing...I'm 6'2 I have to have a full tray. I road a Aquabot and I was bent over so bad my lower back was stiff as steel in just 3 mins....I felt so cramped it just didn't feel comfy...
