Maybe put a timing light on it and make sure your timing is right?
- You can mark the rear coupler and the back of the case with a tdc mark.

It was on my old 1200. I ended up putting one spark plug in the rear spark plug hole in the head. It helped speed up the crank then I got spark. Not sure why that helped though?
Make sure your spinning at least 200 rpm, otherwise it won't spark. I ran into that on my jstl total loss.
