I’m just curious, and since I’ve only ever been to the Pismo freerides, I don’t have a lot of knowledge to go off of. But why is it that the Daytona freeride has a bunch of sponsors, yet you still have to sign up and pay to ride? Is it because of beach rules or something?

Anytime I have any scoring on a cylinder or piston that can catch a fingernail, I always go up a bore size and new pistons. It might not always be necessary, but it’s A lot cheaper to spend the money on machining and new pistons than replacing the whole engine

I’ve run that exact setup (except the pump, it was a 144mag) and I was at 125 pilot, 160 main. I assume with a high compression head. When I jumped up to a 130 pilot and everything else stayed the same it would gurgle a little before it cleaned up. 127.5 might be perfect also. I’d go a hair...

Hard part is done! Looks good. If you haven’t considered it, I highly recommend doing a super wide tray.
