There doesn't seem to be enough meat on the vein part of the pump to drill and tap threads for a 90 degree fitting. Just wondering if anyone else has tapped the stock pump and where?

Yes loctite is your friend. I went thru this on my riva red pipe and the studs backing out on my fx. I cleaned the threads with brake cleaner and a wire brush and used loctite and nylon nuts. All has been good.

I wouldn't trust a harbor freight tester throw that away. If I had to guess looks like water was making it's way into the cylinder steam cleaning your pistons. Did you rejett your carb when you installed the b pipe? Make sure the filter inside your carb is clean. Properly torquing the head is a...
