Today was a good day - the counter to trivial complaints

Just hit lunch with my brother. We had sushi and rolls and beer and saki. Now I'm back at work chewing on mints. Edit - Did I mention his company picked up the tab?

    AR pistol lower recommendation?

I'm considering purchasing an AR pistol lower. I'm not really interested in getting an entire gun right now, mainly due to money. I was thinking of just getting a lower for now and then build it out later. Anybody have recommendations on what to get and what to avoid?

Other JetDock DIY air assist - pneumatic question

I have a JetDock floating dock for my little boat. I've configured the cubes several different ways, but no matter how I do it (with the cubes I have), the back of the boat dips in about 2 inches in the water. Ideally, I don't want any of the boat to be touching the water. The JetDock solution...

    Other Windows 8 for cheap.

Yes, I know Windows 8 blows. However, if you are in a situation where you have XP on a machine and want to upgrade the OS for extremely cheap, Windows 8 might look better. Right now, you can go to Microsoft and request a promo code for Windows 8 Pro by just filling out fields that says you...

    Other Wireless Router Recomendations?

I'm sick of my wireless router not giving a decent signal throughout my house. It's a Linksys (Cisco) MIMO style. I would put aftermarket antannae on it; however, the three built-on are not removable. I'm thinking about going with a Bufallo WZR-HP-G450H, but I've read that you need to replace...

Super Jet SJ seems to idle on one cylinder... HELP!!!

701 starts but idles real rough like it's only running on one cylinder. When rev'd, it seems to run on both and smooths out. Just rebuild carb using OEM kit. Cut back plug wires. Tried different switch. Checked spark. Compression good. Any other suggestions? Leaving for LSFR on Thursday. :aargh4:

Super Jet Step by step cutting my sj pole

Well, with supervision by Smoofers, I cut my pole 3.5" this last Friday (even though we were supposed to go riding instead). Here is my step by step summation. First, I measured the distance. I wanted to take it down 3.5" from stock. There was about 1" inside bracket, so I measured and...

    Other Garage cart/stand

Well, I wanted to build a garage cart/work stand for the SJ that would allow me to easily put it on the trailer and be adjustable so I can make it an easy work height. I was looking a modding a lift from Harbor Freight as well as building one using a sissor jack, but ended up just building...

    Other Rolling ski stand/lift?

I was looking for an adjustable ski stand that would allow me to change the height while I'm working on it and allow me to roll it around. I'd like to be able to roll the ski out of the garage to the trailer so I could just slide it on by myself. Initially, I was thinking I'd fabricate...
