You could spray some water or carb cleaner on the gasket areas as you blip the throttle. The moisture should muffle the air leak if only for a split second. Or....you are just hearing the airflow into the carbs.

Here's mine before it started cracking, it's bolted to the stock exhaust bracket. I'm thinking that some form of isolator might help in the cracking department but will the coupler suffer due to extra movement of the pipe ?
