That pic Dag put up is a jetinetics charging flywheel,if it was atotal loss flywheel you would see two small round magnets 180 degrees from each other.That other flywheel looks like ass,it would make a really nice paperweight.

I am telling you the flywheels on those are huge compared to what we are running,I can pretty much bet you if you tightened down the flywheel with no key and ran it it will not move unless something locked up the impeller suddenly or you jumed the boat and never let off the gas.

You are wrong on that one,the flywheel is a press fit onto the crankshaft,that is why you must use a puller to remove it ,the bolt only pulls the flywheel onto the taper and the keyway only locates the flywheel while you tighten it down.A good friend of mine who builds golf cart engines and...

I see no problem with lapping it slightly,you can take a magic marker and paint the inside of the flywheel,wherever the magic marker is left after lapping is where it is not touching the taper,at least that way you know exactly what you are dealing with.LAPPING has been done on aluminum...

Well Scorn we have already determined that he jacked the crank up pulling the flywheel off so why not,there is only one more component in there and its cheaper than a flywheel or a crankshaft,I say go for it,worst you can do is make it a clean sweep .

I had no idea those pipes were in such demand,I would consider selling mine but they are discontinued that means the value will only go up,I am hanging on to mine for investment purposes.

Of the two you posted the X2 is the only way to go hands down.
