Yep that's right. You could could get a good impeller, scope grate, d cut your ride plate, get a shorten pole. and your set without touching your motor

use a blow dryer instead of the industrial heat gun. It works fine

here is where I installed my two. One on each side. I dont have a picture of the actual pumps, but all I did was glue them down under the midshaft
