Search "turf rails" by topic only (if you do not get anything then do search entire posts), also check PWCT since they have way more content. I know this has been discussed 384 times over there, I counted. Your search should yield you pics and technique for turfing, extending the rails might be...

Talk to Prem1x, he may chime in on this. I do know to make an Octane surf worthy hood straps are mandatory.

Are you talking about turfing the rails? If so, it is more appearance than function, but some do it for function (footing for certain tricks).

On the same page, I think it is the volume that kills their quality. I also think QC should catch some of the more obvious problems that get sent to customers. (do not ask for proof of this statement, I do not recall every thread I have read about SBT, but I do recall gripes about stuff that...

I do not think SBT is crap, I do think it is a crap shoot on getting a top notch motor... You get what you pay for.

Agreed, they set themselves up for this type of scenario. Buy an SBT motor and DIY. ... what, something's wrong... consult a mechanic, you are not mechanically competent enough. Meanwhile, the rebuild quality is not to their own specs/advertising standards.

I know I could probably rebuild an engine as I have the mechanical ability, but a rebuild is something I will leave to Paul, Keith, TLR, team scream, etc. Get it done right the first time. Installing carbs, stator/flywheel, head, exhaust, no probs. Point is, per SBT, unless you are a "mechanic"...

Need help finding sunkin' ski (Not Anymore!!!)

Rent some kind of high pressure water pump, or use a cylinder of compressed air and go to harbgor freight and buy 50' of hose. What ever you do, make sure to attach a bouy to it while you work. That way you know where it is if it moves.
