Sounds to me like you've over looked something somewhere... have you played with the low speed screws? Checked that you are getting full throttle at both carbs? ( Not bashing but i have seen clear as day problems like this cause people to blame the motor) What did you tell Art when you sent it...
I just had Art @ JETWORKS setup a complete package for me before daytona. 709 ported cylinder, Dual Jetworks Mod'd 38's epoxyied OEM manifold and Jetworks carbon reeds setup on stock reed blocks.... Extremely cheap compared to other aftermarket setups I have run before and just as good honestly...
So wait lets just bash Moto Tassanari for a set of their reed valves that happened to have a screw come loose? Sounds to me like the person who put it together just took it out of the box without checking to make sure all the screws were tight, slapped it together and had a problem down the...
Absolutely the pump tunnels are a different shape from 96+ to the 08. I have run the 96+ grate on my 08 and did not like it at all. The grate in my opinion is way to aggressive for the 08 hull/pump tunnel design. The boat felt glued to the water and was very hard to get any " pop " esp off of...
Also try Jamestown Distributors... They have pretty good pricing also! Just remember u can't use epoxy with chop mat. The binder that holds the glass mat together will not dissolve in epoxy resin and will create a huge mess and total abortion!
Knowing there was water in the Ebox I would def take the time to go through all of the connections in the Ebox, clean them and use Dielectric grease on all of the connections. After that I would take a look inside the stator cover. If water got in the ebox 10 to 1 someone had it open at some...
Just keep one thing in mind, the b-pipe chambers themselves do not usually fail due or have problems running ultra hot. Although the coating may allow the shell of the chamber to stay cooler the real issue is keeping your couplers cool enough so you dont melt them. If it isnt that much more than...
This is true BK my point was more that if these things worked Professional Engine builders like Art and Chuck would be using them.... I dont think these inserts themselves will provide a huge gain. Maybe just maybe if setup right along with boring the throats etc they might the combo has to be...
Just seems to me that the average person does not have the tooling IE Mill and porting tools to perform this work in a precision nor timely fashion... Figure in the cost of the carb/s even if they are dime a dozen 38's plus the tooling and time / labor, is it really worth the effort?. It also...
Thanks Alex ! Had a blast with you guys in tona cant wait for the warm weather to come around! Wildwood is an awesome idea I totally forgot about the moto and quad races there. Like you said if we cant get any cooperation with the locals we will just keep the outlaw rides alive.
The idea of a NJ ride is being thrown around but i need to sit down with Caker and talk with Yamaslut an find out the pro's and con's first. I know he had a large part in previous events and can help steer us in the right direction. This state just sucks for any kind of motorsports let alone...
Thanks SCORN! Get ready bro BL is gonna be off the hook this year! Paul got me all psych'd think i am ready to start rolling now too. New JETWORKS 709 is sick... best investment yet by far!
I want to start off by thanking Nick and Sarah and all of the sponsors for all of their time and effort that went into planning an event as EPIC as this one was!!! :bow28:
Huge thanks to NJFL for offering up his garage tools and supplies for the big thrash / build the week before Daytona...
