Yeah, it's a great place to ride... you don't have to go but right outside the jetty to get decent when the winds are over 15mph waves (especially in the fall when we get 25mph+ winds).
When it's flat we'll do just about anything to have fun... :Banane35:
most of our riding area is sandy bottom, but this spot is can be brutal with the rock.

yup... southwest winds run the entire fetch of the lake creating our waves. Sucks because to ride them you are constantly battling the wind.
To give you an idea of how much wind it takes to move water... in order for us to get 4 - 6 foot waves (what you west coasters might call 2-3 foot)...

just got back to work from two weeks vacation and riding every day with my nephew... I'm still a bit slow
contact cement will work just fine... make sure to rough up the surface of the ski with sand paper.... i usually put three coats of contact cement on the turf and two on the ski (allowing to dry between coats). Use a heat gun to warm it up so it's nice and plyable... then use a rubber mallet...
