I agree and I was going to do the entire tray in black at one point, but I did not have enough black with the diamonds running the correct way.:banghead: Whatever the tray is, has to run back over the bond rail to give the turf a good bite and just doing the corners would have looked funny.

Ok, thanks Charlie for making me feel lazy!:lightning: I decided to add a matching diamond like symbol as I had on the chin pad. 1 - Cut out pattern 2 - Cut out turf piece 3 - Trace turf piece on tray 4 - cut through diamond in tray with razor blade, making sure you do not go...

I might try and get something in later, but in the meantime I need to get the rear corners turfed tonight, and the pump in. Steering and engine come out tomorrow night if we ride tomorrow.

The turf is stuck pretty good to the padding, so cutting out a pattern and removing the peice to fit another in would rip the padding. i could grind down the turf in a pattern and glue a piece of black over the top though,:cool2: thanks, you just gave me extra work tonight...:sneaky:

I don't want to do the 'footprint' outline, as it's been overdone. Any cutout in the actual tray would rip the underpad taking it out, and I would hate to do that. Might do it on the bulkhead, but not sure if that would be enough.... suggestions please...

Life is too serious and stressful, we all need to laugh sometimes, and when I see the signature I laugh.:haha: I just might have to quit my day job.:woot: I'm not quite sure if I should have used a bit more black in the rail/tray department, but oh well....

I agree and will probably end up doing that later. I didn't have anything and wanted to get this done. Hair dryer - plenty of heat and will still burn your hands while doing it. I hate doing projects alone, so Jack helped me out last night.:Banane01:

    5mm, 8mm or 25mm padding

After turfing the 25mm pad over the last few days, I would prefer not to use it again. I didn't like the self adhesive, and felt it was hard to work with.

I finished turfing the tray and footholds last night and am 95% happy with the job, although it would probably give Charlie a run for his trophy.:Banane01: I will get a photo inside the foothold with the bottom mat down later, it came out pretty sano. Now all I have to do is turf the...

    5mm, 8mm or 25mm padding

You need the extra padding around the heel area of your foot which is outside most footholds. I have personally never heard of anyone bruising or breaking the ball of their foot wave jumping.:purr:
