I have an old MSD catalogue where they did the same thing. They used a spacer to bolt up to a Sea Doo engine then a Kawasaki 750 exhaust manifold would bolt to it. The reason was because there were more Kawasaki exhaust systems available at the time. Good luck on your project!
I bought a blown up 96 1100 ZXi just because of the engine swap you are mentioning. Well let me tell you that 1100 long block is one heavy mofo! I tore my sirt and jeans trying to carry it. Granted the exhaust pipe is an all cast heavy aluminum piece but that is about the only place to save...
A friend of mine had a PMC rebuilt Kawasaki 650 engine. Well he voided the warrenty to put an aftermarket head on it. In the process we found two or three heli coiled stud holes. When changing the studs to longer ones for the thicker PJS head more holes stripped out. He pretty much has about...
I bought a used West Coast pipe for an old X2 I had and it had a spot for a water injection nozzle. Then again it never originally came with one... the previous owner drilled and tapped the pipe for it. I am not too familiar with Yamaha pipes but I suppose you could drill/tap or weld a bung on...
I have a flow control valve. Some swear by it but in the grand scheme of things I barely noticed a change in power with it.
A flow control valve goes in the cooling line that attaches to the stinger on the pipe. Its purpose is to block this flow at water at low RPM's in effect drying out...
Not that I know anything about SXR's but on the Hot Products Japan website they show V Force 3's listed!! I am curious to see how well your guy's skis run because I want an 800 engine for my X2.
The HT stock replacement vinyl seats are all vinyl. I had one on my old X2. It was just your typical replacement seat cover. I liked the look but it did fade some. Then again most HT mats I have installed have faded.
Has anyone done a Hydro Turf seat cover? Not the vinyl stock replacement cover but using the tray pad material everyone uses on their bond line, gun whales, and trays. I have a spare seat and have been debating on doing this to. Then again I was thinking of sending it out and getting either 2...
Just curious Darin, I was going to bid on something that was listed on one of the ads on here but I always use an online snipe tool. Works best for me since I don't have to be at a computer at the auction's end to bid.
But will the X still get a percentage of the sale? Just checking.
Sorry no pipes for sale from me
I did recently pick up a complete Coffman 750 SS Xi exhuast. It has the 4 bolt head pipe. I also got a Coffman 4 bolt top manifold. The diameter of this head pipe and manifold are bigger than the stock 650 and Coffman 3 bolt 650 head pipe. I am going to...
Hey WAD, if you do have those trim pieces machined. You should make them work for both up or down! The Japanese ones are only up trim. If a little more though went into the design, you could make them work both ways.

Ask Doug Henry about when he was the only one running a four stroke and it died on take off at Budd's Creek. He front wheel cased the double and broke both his wrists. Not safer... well not safer back then.
Difference in frour stroke and two stroke MX is that the manufactures have been...
That is what I thought. Then again I have never fooled with many Yamaha engines. Won't a billet Kawasaki styke coupler be needed on the Yamaha engine to match up with the drive shaft coupler? I htough someone made those billet couplers for Yamaha's that turned them into Kawie styles? I still...
Will do! I am "imatition engineer" I mean Industrial Engineer. I took all my Mechanical Engineering classes in summer school because they were easier. I will need a real engineer to help bail me out....
Nah all you really need is a fitting, a hose, and a pump. Angle the ski up and suck...
Looks like I better patent custom aftermarket oil change kits.
Full covergae insurance on my skis is looking better and better! Just think of the scenario: "I just tossed a rod on my 10k + motor" Mr. Insurance man, I need some money cause my pole ski died yesterday in the ocean....
