Lots of options, but you could easily build a frankenstein motor from scratch just buying stuff from guys on here. Or you can at least buy a crank, case and cylinders to use as a core.

While carbon looks cool and is going to be lighter... its super pricey and relatively hard to get a hold of. If you can get the carbon for a decent price, go with it. Otherwise, glass is going to be great to use.
