Mix as recommended, for small amounts I use a cheap plastic postage scale and measure weight 3:1. For large amounts purchase the hand pumps they make it simple.

Sounds like you need to tune with a tachometer. Check the tech section "tuning for rookies" thread by Randy at Watcon. Mark44

Correct and you will notice your RPM's have stopped increasing on the tachometer/ or you are now in tune.
