Ya thats what i thought. I'll torque the head down to night, and i'll get the numbers out. should i clean the pistons? they have a little carbon build up. would this make a difference? Squish>?:notworthy:

there should be tons of four strokes, theres plenty of room in the old 550's to drop a 3 or 4 cylinder four cycle in. carve out under the pads and mold your own tank. is it possible? ? theres enought room!

I have this after market pipe i got from a friend and i'm having some trouble with the manifold. The bolts from the stock exaust do not fit the after market pipe. To short :( does any one know where i can find the longer mounting lag bolts? HELP!!! P.S. may have stock 550 exaust with manifold...

build a wood stand. use 4x4 posts 16'' long and then just use 2x4 to measure the distance between your dips in the hull. this will determine how how far apart the 4x4's are. cost me $18 to make THREE!! easy easy http://s550.photobucket.com/albums/ii414/segiaco/ here are some pics

I have a js 550 1987, i just had the head milled. I am told there is a certain sequence to sealing the head properly with out cracking it. Does any one have an old manual or know the sequence? HELP!!

I just picked up an old 550 hull for pretty cheep and that guy had left an old pipe in it. He told me it was a westcoast pipe but i have no idea if it is or not. can any one verify?
