    KTM maybe?

That may not happen. It's just not a high priority for me. I want something cheap to play with. I was hoping to find people needing some christmas cash and I could pick up a deal on something to get me through until the water warms up.

    KTM maybe?

Maybe I don't need one then. I'm not dropping 2500 into one right now. It's just not high enough on my priority list.

    KTM maybe?

The guy is the original owner and he says less than 200 hours. I know that would be a lot for a race bike, but I don't know about something like this. He says that most years he averaged about 2 rides per year, which would explain why it looks decently clean for being a 2000

    KTM maybe?

That price is about the max of my budget. I have other things that I'll be dropping some money on soon so I can't go crazy with this.

    KTM maybe?

I found a 2000 300exc about 2 hrs away. It's the original owner and he says that he rode it probably less than 25 rides since new. It's on the original top end. I think I might be able to get permission to buy it wink wink. He's asking $1750. Is that fair? Here's the potential snag. I'm...

NEW XP's. Not from back in the day when they really were PERSONAL watercraft. Completely different animal

    backflip on a xp

I would have to be one hell of a solid wave. Like 10+ feet with a lot of power. Every couch I've ever seen at the beach break has plowed through just about every wave. They get so excited when the pump leaves the water as the ski comes through the back side of the wave. That new XP is a pig...

    Trinity Composites SJ hood.

That hood doesn't exist any more so it really doesn't matter. I'm sure it will be a bit different when he starts over.

Speed is the last thing you would want. Speed would push you through any wave. You want to have bottom end to accelerate up the wave as it is standing up.

Thanks. I'd probably consider one, but the guy can't even give me a clue within 3 months when one might be available. I'm still on the wait list, but I doubt it would pan out. The Derbi DH 2.0 looks pretty sweet too, but I can't go to a dealer and buy either one right now.

So the 250 exc is street legal-able? That's probably what I need for poking around in the woods. I still haven't ruled out that trials bike in New Smyrna, but the owner hasn't answered any questions yet.

So which model is that exactly? I keep reading a bunch of mixed info on what model has what features.

I'm not touching that one. I can get into enough trouble on my own thank you. :rocketwhore:

    Turfing rails need a picture!

yes, the heat makes it much more workable. You're doing a little stretching and a little compressing. Heat makes it all smooth and easy.

yeah I know. I've been doing a fair amount of it lately and I do enjoy it. I've just got an itch for something with a motor right now since I can't do anything with my ski. Maybe it'll pass.

    FX Bikes

Yeah, I could. Where do you put the motor?

HELL no. I don't own enough collared shirts and khakis for that "sport" :clown:

Hmmm. Dunno. I'm suffering some severe motor powered toy withdrawal now that it's cold. Some of us don't live on a lake where a COLD day means that you might have to put on your wetsuit until you get too hot and have to start shedding layers :bad3:

So how do you like that Honda? I was reading that they actually make decent trail bikes. It's a bit older than I'd like, but it would be cheaper.....

It's not quite that easy. This boat can get pretty small.
