no. the driveshaft for a 550 pump is different from the 440's. You have to have the 550 drive shaft with a 550 pump and impellar. if you have all that swap them into your ski and try it. You might like it and then it will save you money and time finding parts and dealing with the bearing...

440 pumps are better for top end but they take a couple seconds to load up. A 550 pump doesnt need to load up the way its designed so it will get you out faster but you will loose top end. I would say before spending money switch the pumps out and see how you like it. But you have a have a 550...

i just did turf. And ive turfed about 7 skis with all diff color turfs. White turf is by far the hardest. It doesnt mold and its thin as ****. your lucky your using black its easier to mold.

im not gonna say anything about the hoodseal until its water tested. so far though it looks like it will work well. I cut it in the middle in some spots to help it seat better.

yea use a NEW razor blade after you put the padding down. I always do that for a smooth transition. Also it assures that the turf will be sticking to a surface not floating in air at the edges. I used about 4 razor blades doing that much becuase as soon as the not really sharp it tears the pad...

if you used epoxy primer i wouldn't even try using the same gun to shoot base with. i made this mistake also but as soon as it happened i went and bought a new gun and that did the trick. Lowes small gravity feed gun works well and its only 39$.
