Anyone successfully weld a cracked bottom bracket on a round nose pole??

When I bought my ski I was told it had a 12/17 impeller in it. Well it doesn't. I am curious if it will make a big difference on bottom end going from a 14.5/18 to a 12/17? The motor is a 771 big bore built by jet works with dual black jack 44's, running around 175ish for compression.

Anyone have reviews on hood seals?

After I am done riding I have been getting a milky residue on the top of one of the flame arrestors. I remember seeing a thread on this problem but cant find it. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I know its the fuel, oil mixing with water but why is it only on top of one flame arrestor.

over the weekend i rode my buddies superjet and it has a set of unknowen tubbies. when riding at speed it walks side to side very badly and making it real sketchy, arent tubbies supposed to make it ride better? Or does it just help carving turns? Could they be mounted wrong? or do you give up...
