    Waveblasters?

Who cares? Ride what you like - Blaster, SJ, SXR, or god forbid couch - and don't worry about what any yahoo on some forum thinks. Scottie

    Best Quicksteer Mod??

We just mod the stock one. Basically, you bed it open a bit, then space it off the hood assembly with a thick spacer. Works like a charm. I have had a B2 cable in my mod for years, never had a problem pushing/pulling a nozzle WFO with a full 8mm PV Judge built mod motor. Probably not the...

    Waveblasters?

I'd rather ride a 'couch' than play with pole! But hey, that's just me. :lmao: For anyone who calls me a couch rider, I simply call them a pole smoker. LOL Scottie

    The Wife's new ride.

LOL, she's happy, but I am learning that the women aren't any better than us when it comes to the customization bug. Last night she spent an hour on Jettrim's site looking though color schemes trying to find a seat she liked. (The one on the ski is from my Mod ski) She is going to end up as...

    The Wife's new ride.

I prepped and painted it, the stickers were a kit that Casey at IPD offers. I just removed the number plate and added the Big Yamaha logos on the hood. I got the SXR1100's bottom gell coated today and then I started prepping my surf ski for turf. I already got the reinforcing done. I got a...

I should have put 'watch at your own risk' in the topic header. That is how I ended up starting all this in the first place, lol. Scottie

    The Wife's new ride.

So, last year while at the beach, my wife informs me that she would really like a ski of her own. I remind her that between Joe and myself, we have a fleet of Waveblasters that are always ready. She reminds me that all our skis are too 'herky jerky' and she can't go cruise around and have fun...

    Best Quicksteer Mod??

Dustin, I have bent quite a few over the years and it usually only happens when you increase the throw or run a longer steering nozzle. But, I do more bouy riding than anything, so I usually am taking a lot of rpm/speed into turns, that might have something to do with it. We just replace them...

    Best Quicksteer Mod??

If you are going to do this mod, you'd better replace your cable with a B2 cable. The B1 cables are famous for bending/breaking even when you add a longer nozzle. Increasing the throw on the stock nozzle will put a lot of extra stress on the cable. You will need the cable, both ends and the...

Stroker? Big Bore? Looking for power starting from scratch.

He's still around. Doesn't do much with skis anymore, but he is building a couple x2s for surf riding. He was at Wavedazes last year and got the bug, then went to Daytona. Gary is a good dude and a ton of fun to hang out with. Scottie

    just want feedback

Sounds like a duck bill drain. They are supposed to be split at the end. The drain water by using negative pressure as the ski travels forward BUT they will allow water back in the hull when sitting still. Scottie

Stroker? Big Bore? Looking for power starting from scratch.

If you are talking about the one you got from Dee, that motor was built by Gary Lamb. He used to work under the Riva/Team Yamaha Support Team. Scottie

Stroker? Big Bore? Looking for power starting from scratch.

Yes, Gary did good work. A buddy of mine had him set up an old R&D race cylinder for his SJ (basically an early lamey) and it was a very good motor. Scottie

    new blaster owner, few Q's

The best prop for the blaster is a Hooker. With your set up, I would go 9/15. This prop offers great hook up and revs very quick - two things you want for surf riding. Scottie

760 motor in a blaster? Or build 701

Yeah, it is www.judgemotorsports.com but, to be honest it is old and outdated. His email is judgemotorsports@aol.com TJ is a motor guy, he will build you whatever you want and it will be awesome. His knowledge of pwc motors is second to none. Look at any REALLY fast blaster and you can...
