I would not say that the controller is the problem, the losses should be far lower than the motor. Motenergy have announced a new motor with 30kw peak and 92% efficiency with 90 Nm stall torque. Thats in fact closer to a 701 then I imagined. Not in horsepower, but in torque. Its close to peak...
Nice to know, thats a lot of loss.
I hope no one still use lead acid batteries for EV's anymore. I only use li-po or li-mn chemistry. I actually think the chemistry I use have more power and energy density than Killacycle, because they use LiFePO4 for more safity.
In my bike I go a 20Ah pack @...
I agree and disagree.
First off, I did no find any video of any electrified stand up on youtube? I've been looking for that all over the internet with no luck.
Second, I've built myself an electric bike with more power than I dare to unleash. Not because I have such massive motor, but the...
Found a dyno paper of a stock sj in the dyno tread
I am impressed with the numbers. It's gone be hard to beat that with an electric setup.
It's not hard to find a motor that would beat that, but I don't even dare to think what that would cost me.
I still think it would be a good idea...
As topic says.
If you know how much other motors produce as well please tell me.
I am playing with the idea of making an electric stand up, just because it is silent and could be used everywhere.
I know it would require a big motor and a lot of batteries, but its a start to gather information...
I had the exact same problem on a old kawasaki 650sx. I found out that a piece of a rope was tucked around the axle. It felt like heavy vibrations that went trough the hole jet. Just try to look around the pump/intakegrate if anything that should not be there is:)
Okay, time to clarify. I bought the engine because the owner didnt wanted to buy another head(The old protec head was milled by a idiot that took to much off the head) so I got it "pretty cheap". I bought a Adahead and measured it before I got it milled out to the specs I read here on this...
I think the cases are matching, because they have the same inscription on the couplerside of the cases. The crank is rebuild right before I got the engine and bore is 82mm. Do anyone know what kind of volume I got when its 6mm stroker and 82mm bore?
One side of the bottom is welded(under the...
I had to buy a hole ski to get that engine, I hope its worth the trouble. If everything goes as planned, this engine will soon be in a rev hull.

Lets say that you are right, how does this engine performe compared to newer engines?
I will mesure the stroke tomorrow, I was told that it was a dasa sylinder, but I dont have a clue if its true or not.
Hello
I got myself a new motor, but I could really need som help to identify what it is. Its not stamped or writed anything on the sylinder or the bottom.
