    62t case vs 61x case

Ok I've been debating the switch for a while because everyone swears by the 62t cases. My engine is 61x/61x at 81.5mm, ported using the sport port template, b-pipe, total loss, hooker impeller, and 35cc domes. It runs really well but I'm always open to bigger and better. My question is...

Can a SJ starter be removed without...

Trying to figure out if a SJ starter can be removed without pulling the exhaust manifold and all that crap. I've got it loose but can't seem to wiggle it out.

    New tool for FP manifolds

After much frustration in the past removing and installing the b pipe manifold, I finally found a tool that will make life easier. They are angled wrenches and the wrench fill fit over the top of the nut and under the pipe flange so you can get a decent turn on it. Hopefully I won't need to use...

    Cavitation issues (mechanical grinding/vibrating)

I've been having some cavitation issues ever since I got my new stunt hull and it doesn't feel like any cavitation that I've ever felt before. First off, it sounds like I sucked up a stick or a log when it happens like a grinding sound instead of the engine rpms shooting up and not going...

    Foothold foaming question

I just put 1" foam on the bottom of my footholds and obviously I'm going to want some padding on top and I'll have to have turf in there as well. The problem is my toe won't make it to the end of the hold as it is. If I were to trim the foam deeper at my heel, I could fit and if I trimmed the...

    Big bore questions

Since I'm waiting on my hull, I've had lots of time to think about various scenarios... My latest thought is one big bore cylinders. From what I've read, the 61x cylinder would make a better BB cylinder for freestyle than the 760 cylinders but obviously the cylinder itself (not the sleeve) would...

    Stinger on a factory pipe

Been wondering this for a while... What's the stinger actually for? Is it primarily supposed to cool the waterbox and dampen the sound or is there a performance advantage to it?

    B pipe couplers

I was in search of a high temp coupler for the B pipe just to see what they cost. The interesting thing was all the silicone couplers are technically rated to 500°F but I've burned a hole in one because I forgot to hook a cooling line back up to the pipe for a few minutes. Granted the coupler I...

    Making a pipe chamber

I'm looking into the possibility of making a composite b pipe chamber for myself and maybe for others if it works out. However, I've run into a major problem. I can't find any composite resins that can withstand the temperatures. Anyone know of anything that can withstand 250°F+ temperatures or...

Best way to remove midshaft coupler

I've heard a lot of people say to heat the coupler to aid in removal but how do you keep it from spinning? I saw one person say a pipe wrench but I can just see that gouging the piss out of it.

    Boring 62t nozzle

Ok I have a straight bore 61x nozzle but since I'm planning on putting trim on, I figured now is a good time to try the taper bore. The question I have is the veins are smaller than the exit diameter. I've been hogging out the exit side of the veins about an inch to create a smoother transition...

    Handlepole bracket thickness

How thick is the metal used on some of these stainless aftermarket handlepole brackets? I've been debating on making one for myself and was planning on using 0.1875" but curious what everyone's was made of.

    Simple effective battery box

Made this, this evening because I wanted something better than the stock plastic battery box. It's all aluminum with stainless hardware. Countersunk the bottom screws so the battery would sit flush. I want to clean up the top plate a little better but it's functional right now and should hold up...

    side rear mounted exhaust?

Anyone have an opinion on running a side exhaust that exits near the rear but not directly out the back? Looking at running dual scuppers and I will have enough room for all the tubes but I don't think I'll have enough room to run both a scupper and an exhaust flange on the back.

    Start/Stop switch sealing?

I'm determined to not repeat last years Daytona experience of 15 hours wrenching on ski's and riding for 10 minutes. I've made and tested a sealed box for my total loss system but there is still one more point of concern...the start/stop switch. Last year my start/stop switch (in addition to...

    Worst smell ever!!

I just removed the midshaft to send to Highroller for my hull and OMG I about gagged. Burned grease has got to be the worst thing ever. Midshaft still turns smooth but I don't want to finish cleaning it. Smelling that makes cleaning dog poo seem not so bad.

Did you winterize or inspect your ski before putting it up?

Pulled my ski out of the water and began pulling some parts out of it for multiple reasons. Keep in mind that I had to rebuild the engine less than 2 months ago due to a crankshaft bearing and I fixed quite a few things that were wrong then too... I've also had the pipe and gas tank out more...

    Sealed total loss box

I've been thinking about it for a while and I'd like to enclose my total loss brain and possibly the coil inside a waterproof box. I was thinking that at least the top of the box would need to be clear so you can see if water has gotten in. Any ideas on what the best way to attach the sides...

    Registration question

Want to make sure I won't get screwed on registration. I'm planning to put together an aftermarket hull before Daytona and I'm not sure I'll be able to get the full registration before hand. First, will a temporary registration be sufficient? Second, if the ski is fully registered, do the...

    The Waternut Stunt hull build

Well...that's where it will be soon enough. The hull is still being built. I managed to dig up enough money to buy one of the stunt hulls and I'm stoked about it! ...and a little broke obviously. Dan's been really cool about the whole thing so far and his response times have usually been within...
