The heat won't effect that. It's far enough away from ports and stuff. I have a degree in welding technology and that's a very easy fix so unless he has a lead foot you will be fine.
If it's a single stock 44 replacing it will be dirt cheap. If you don't want to replace it take it to a weld shop and have them weld it back on. Have them fill the threaded hole. Buy the $5 tap and hand drill it and tap it. Good as new.
Yes cast aluminum can be welded but yours is cracked on a gasket surface to so it will have to be machined flat after welding. That may require the sleeves needing to be removed
Hey guys I'm trying to help out a friend. We need a ricker moved from Waldo WI to chacago IL or closer to Grand Rapids MI but it has to happen tomorrow. If any one can help please pm for details. Cash insentive!
I put my sj on my hitch hauled on the back of my tj. With the four inch lift and bigger tire it wondered bad. Idk if you are getting a tj or jk. Just wouldn't recommend long trips.
This isn't new that have been trying to shut it down for years. My friend who is hired by ford race and also is a part of the Ken blocks vids gets nasty letters all the time. starting about 5 years ago.
