If youre gonna ride surf tomorrow the way your boat is I would turn the idle down so it dies when youre not on the throttle (my surf boat is set up that way anyway). And I agree 100% with what deftons said, dont let go. Especially in the surf.
Yes that is the only ramp everyone uses. There are 2 metered spots if you get there early enough (bring your quarters). If you park where Wes said (either spot) you can do what I do and bring a pedal bike and a cable lock. Just drop your boat in the water. Beach it or tie it to the dock. Then...
Congrats on the new boat. Go through it thoroughly as it needs to be super reliable in the surf.
