That's how they all come, partly why mine is glued shut lol. Glad they are on the back now, instead of being in the pump tunnel.
Could probabaly take it apart and flip the rubber 180 over, or switch to a ball valve scupper.
Big update, i installed a ceiling today, woot woot, only been wanting one for 2 years now lol.
Still have a couple trim pieces to install, but the worst of it is done.

I really enjoyed this ski in the surf, if he had some footholds installed, I could of easily thrown some tricks, nibble, yet still fairly stable, also has the best splash gaurd I have ever seen.
little? If that motor runs better then a ported 701, it has plenty of power to flip, I was flipping with a much smaller engine.
And the coast stays fairly warm during the winter. When surfs up, put on a spring suit and practice flips on the back set.
I learned how to flip behind wakeboard...
What I ment by cold press, is no heating or freezing. But if you put it in the deep freeze, it should fall right in. Something must not be right.
Maybe it's a illusion, but looks like the inner housing is coming apart from the rubber.
Should be able to press the midshaft in cold, done it many times.
Are you running a full size tank? If so, those breather tubes won't fit between tank and waterbox. They need to be in front of the waterbox.
