Thrustone 155 Setback pump, anyone tried one?

Hey yaw, Has anyone tried the Thrustone 155 Setback pump? What did you think? Also how do they compare to some of the other brands like Torrent? The price seems really reasonable.

Fuel Tank Mounting, Methods, Thoughts, Ideas...

So, I actually ended up using 4 UFO mounts in mine and then 4 of the bumper type strap hooks to help keep everything in place. So far it has worked great, but making a tray for the tank would have been just as good. Ill post some more pics here shortly.

Full carbon, is it the right path?

If you ride any sort of salt/brackish water you should definitely take what sparkplug mentioned into consideration when looking at a full carbon hull. Stuff is going to corrode like crazy. Heck, it managed to eat a hole straight through my Carbon XFR's aluminum thru hull exhaust tube in only a...

Fuel Tank Mounting, Methods, Thoughts, Ideas...

Hey bro, I have the shorter one, which holds 3.25 Gallons of fuel. I can check, this evening, and see how much clearance i have above mine to see if the larger one would fit. I will say it is a pretty stout tank, so if your going for maximum weight savings that might be worth considering.

    Fs 50’s epoxy in carbs

Thats not the only place epoxy is used in the FS 50's. Ed also inserts a larger tube going from the fuel pump side of the carb to the side with the jets and at least on mine they are epoxied in. With that said, that tube is right after where the little filter piece is, so that epoxy wouldn't...

    SOLD XS SS900RR

What do the Auxiliary Exhaust Ports look like from the exhaust manifold side? I'm not seeing the standard epoxy and plug on the side of the cylinder. Just curious as i have a XS1060 which is supposedly just the stroker version of this and mine has the epoxy, but the epoxy is know to leak sometimes.

    Fs 50’s epoxy in carbs

Shouldn't the O-Rings around those press in plugs prevent any fuel from getting to them? I have FS 50's as well and only one of those plugs has epoxy on them. The last time i took them off i did notice some of the epoxy seemed ready to flake off but it also looked like fuel shouldn't be getting...

    DASA 1200 Starting issue

Is it normal for Antigravity batteries to only read 12.96 volts when fully charged? I don't have any personal experience with the Antigravity lithium batteries but my Featherweight lithium batterys reads about 13.6 volts when fully charged.

Any recommendations for a good lifting sling for aftermarket hulls?

Yea I am a little worried about this as well. But how is a sling any different than 2 guys lifting the ski via the rails and I have done this many times. No matter which one I go with, I will definitely cover the contact surfaces in turf to help protect things.

Any recommendations for a good lifting sling for aftermarket hulls?

Hi, Does anyone have a recommendation on a particular lifting sling that works well with aftermarket hulls? I have a Rickter XFR that I would like to be able to hoist on and off of my dock via a davit. It looks like most of the slings out there are designed for bond rails that wrap around...

Help with Carbon Skis and Galvanic Corrosion. How the heck can i keep it in check?

Amen to that. I think my over attention to detail when it comes to cleaning my ski may have bit me in the ass here. I probably would have been fine if I didn't occasionally wipe out the end of that tube.

Help with Carbon Skis and Galvanic Corrosion. How the heck can i keep it in check?

Removing it and replacing it with something better is deffinately my ultimate plan. But I'll probably leave that untill winter if I can. My question then is going to be how can I go about getting the new tube epoxied and sealed up well enough without having to cut open the tray?

Help with Carbon Skis and Galvanic Corrosion. How the heck can i keep it in check?

Am I wrong or did Rickter switch to a carbon fiber tube on the newer XFS models?

Help with Carbon Skis and Galvanic Corrosion. How the heck can i keep it in check?

Hey yaw, So I just ran into another issue to add to the list before I can get on the water this season. I was getting ready to set up my Raptor trim and I took a look at the tail end of my aluminum thru hull exhaust pipe and what do I find but this tinny spot of corrosion, or at least that's...

Where to get Thicker Mikuni Check Valves

Ill have to rig up a fuel pressure gauge and check that as well. Mostly out of curiosity. I'm reading through this thread again right now: https://www.x-h2o.com/threads/importance-of-the-correct-return-jet-sizing.176798/ Yea that's what i was thinking as well, extra valve and those blocks. I...

Where to get Thicker Mikuni Check Valves

Interesting, I'll give them a shot. I mean what isn't expensive in this sport! haha The carbs were set up for me by Phill Clemons who had a hand in developing my motor so I would think they should be pretty close to where they should be.
