If your doing it from the right. It's possible you're getting water in your carbs

Don't let you battery die. I see that happen a lot when the battery is weak

If you haven't tried this already. Gap the plugs real tight like the thickness of your fingernail (like double the thickness of your fingernail) just don't close then. Also check the return plate on the slave carb make sure it's not clogged. Go do this now it's free.

Try a thicker head gasket to lower the compression

I've towed with with ski on a side and it wasn't a problem. But the ski was about 6-8" from the tire

Check the return plate make sure it's not clogged. If you still have the petcock (fuel selector) make sure that's not clogged. And make sure your internal carb fuel filter is not clogged

When towing a ski in the water you are causing the water to go through the coolling lines causing the water to go into the engine.

A 760 will really disappoint you trust me on that.

Do not put the 760 cylinders on they are ported for top end. I would look for a single 44
