Just wondering if anybody knows of a spot to ride surf in the bay area/santa cruz and not get in trouble with the authorities.

Ok so I've been looking for a spot to ride surf in the Bay Area. Like Mother Nature waves not tug boats/yacht. The closes place I've rode is pismo. I've heard talk about bodega bay being legal to ride. Any input or spots would be appreciated

ive rode a freak and it was super light but felt real long (not something i was too fond of) i also got to ride a rickter fr-2 with a completley stock 701 and felt very comfortable on it. i own a bob and love it and the ski clinic are good people. also rode a xfs but idk how much your looking to...
