My favorites are the ones who limp in with smoke pouring out of the hood at 5 pm on a Friday, we are closed weekends, I have never seen them before and want me to come out and diagnose their issue, get their car back to them next day because they don't have another car. Me being in customer...
Matt I hear you, customer service sucks, it what I do for my real job at the moment. I service write for my friend's dads auto repair shop and dealing with people's problems suck, they expect the world and rarely want to pay. Chasing down deadbeats is the worst part of it. But we do have...
Sorry ihit the wrong button,
If you perform a needed unique service, have a part that is that much better than the competition (thrust's trim system for example) you will retain business.
3) You can start small, charge more and succeed if you provide great service.
If you contribute to...
Ok this one could get a bit lengthy:
Some of my statements that I have made thus far reflect both sides of the fence,
I myself am a bit of a "hack". I sharpen skates for youth hockey players in my local area, it is my part time job. I do not pay for store frontage or space, electric or really...
When you get used parts, once in a while the part you get may not be working. I've had that happen even when buying from the most reputable sellers, its the nature of the beast, at the same time that seller quickly took care of the issue, which is all you can ask of a vendor of used parts. I...
Yeah I get that a lot Dan, and that is one of the reasons she isn't a wife yet. i try and give her the benefit of the doubt because she is an acountant. But personal life aside, I do feel quite fortunate to have had almost all good experiences with purchases on the site. I do an awful lot of...
On a separate note, I do feel more people should attempt to patronize companies that sponsor the various freerides that we all look forward to, they in general all do come to the events with hopes of showing their wares and ultimately selling parts for profit. That's what businesses do, no one...
I do an awful lot of business with Jetmaniac also, and he is the epitome of someone whom I have built a relationship with. He is my first call 100 percent of the time. His prices are great, he has it in stock and gets it out same day 99% of the time. I bought one motor from him, and considered...
Im running a stock plate cut flush and d cut on mine makes it just a little slippery which I like. In many cases have to shave the top of the plate to accomodate the pump in places.
I shot down fluorescent yellow as its not colorfast enough, and am settling on traffic yellow. Brighter is better in busy areas in case you wipe out and have to swim. Black would be a no go for me. Last thing I want is some arsehole running over my 30k ski!
Holy color combo superman! Personally I like a black bottom to hide scuff marks, which are inevitable! Mine didn't make it through Wavedaze 1.0 without some war wounds, I got a sweet idea for the upcoming year, this time all covered in paint protection film
Im surprised you didnt sand down the pump hump, Any advantage to leaving it as/is, It took a while to grind down my underpad to level, and I'm re-doing my turf in a few weeks when my vinyl wrap is done, I'd rather not do all of that sanding again.
