Forget blasters, the new Spark has... foot wedges!

The base model, sure. But the Trixx MSRP is $1,500 higher. ($5,800 vs. $7,300). I think the Trixx was aimed at the enthusiast crowd and they missed the mark.

Forget blasters, the new Spark has... foot wedges!

"The 2017 SPARK TRIXX model comes equipped with numerous innovations including handlebar with adjustable riser, step wedges and extended-range Variable Trim System (VTS), all of which help riders perform tricks like a pro." I get the adjustable handlebars, but the other two features don't make...

    Battery question

Will 180 CCA be enough? The lithium one I had was 360, but I've also seen people on here who say they're using batteries with as little as 120 CCA.

    Battery question

Would this be enough for a superjet with two 500gph bilges: autozone.com/miscellaneous-non-automotive/motorcycle-and-power-sport-battery/duralast-gold-powersport-agm-battery/350077_0_0/?OnetoOne=true&searchText=Etx12 Trying to find something on short notice with limited space and not sure I...

    Stock SJ in surf?

Haha, sounds like I'd run into problems with a stock hull. I get my fill of surf riding on a surfboard :P I don't think I'd be able to resist the temptation of jumping the waves if I were standing on a board with 50+ horsepower...

Blaster vs. SeaDoo Spark (or SuperJet?)

Yeah, I think you're right about that last part. I'd probably regret buying a Spark and wish I had a blaster or standup after a couple days. Still, I hope they sell a ton of them so Yamaha is forced to make an even smaller sit-down ski. The videos they put out criticizing the Spark were just sad...

    Stock SJ in surf?

That would be awesome, you around this weekend? Weather looks like it could turn crappy tomorrow but Sunday might be nice.

    Stock SJ in surf?

Stock as in not even reinforced? Some people are saying they cracked their SJ hulls on flat water or nothing bigger than a boat wake. That's my main concern about the stock hull since I'm mostly interested in surf riding. Yeah I saw that one, looks amazing. I don't think I could drop that much...

    Stock SJ in surf?

Thanks, I'll definitely get in touch if I find something to buy. I'm in Avalon and usually stick to that area since I don't know anyone and I'm just riding the fat couches my family has. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I think the sandbar in Townsends Inlet is pretty good. It'll...

    Stock SJ in surf?

I'll definitely try to at least do the safety mods before taking it out in the surf, and maybe look for a shop that can reinforce the hull. Do SuperJets ever come with a warranty? The nearest dealer lists a 5 year warranty on their SuperJet page, but I'm not sure if that's a mistake that was...

    Stock SJ in surf?

I thought the new ones had a bilge already? Do you mean replace it or install a second one?

    Stock SJ in surf?

My main worry was that something would break, like the hull or the pole. Is that not likely in 6' surf? The breaks where you can ride around here are pretty good. Clean sets rolling through without little or no chop in between, it's just not big very often.

    Stock SJ in surf?

How well would a stock SJ handle jumping around in some medium sized surf? Waves around here rarely get much bigger than 6 ft. Also, does anyone know if it's even possible to register a new SJ in New Jersey? I guess the first question is irrelevant if that's not possible...

Blaster vs. SeaDoo Spark (or SuperJet?)

I just want to jump some waves on something that's small and reliable. I'm not mechanically inclined, so that limits my Blaster search to the skis that have been meticulously maintained and are in perfect running condition. The few of those that pop up in my area every year disappear quickly, so...
