Haha I was thinking of your sanitary install with the tray off as I was fumbling with filler covered inserts in one hand and a bolt in the other trying to get them in without getting any in the threads. About to take the pump out hopefully it’s not glued in.
Pump inserts set. Major pain with having to taper front holes since fx pump has tapered bushings instead of locating pins like a sj. Can’t use shims on front tabs either. Would have prob messed up without the cold fusion alignment tool
Ready to set pump inserts. Had to eyeball the height of the pump tunnel for the rear tabs. Got it pretty close. Will need one or two shims on one side. Using sj inserts so had to drill out bushings in fx pump. The tapered front bushings make things a little more difficult
My friends son has one...he rips it. Would be better if it had actual pegs..it's fast enough even on the slow mode that if they can't balance yet they prob shouldn't be riding it
Reinforced the pole, got the pump mocked up and filled in the pump shoe area where it was opened up for the 144 shoe. Also filled in where the hood seal was broken..the guy said this pole was -1.5 but it isn’t leaving it full length so he can run a shortened turn plate instead of a shorter pole...
Using a stock 63n (62t/62t dual 38’s) out of a waveraider I believe in a standup with stock 61x pipe. Does anyone know if the stock couch jetting is the same as a SuperJet? Never had a yamaha with a stock motor/pipe
EDIT: never mind got it hot enough it came out in one shot.
Got a cutback stator and impeller for the fx I’m working On..would like to reuse pump bearings as they are still good. Anyway to get them out without ruining them? Also I’m having trouble removing driveshaft..any other method besides...
That was him on a nearly stock 550...this thing should be a major improvement....not bad for only riding for a couple months..last ride he was really ripping, starting to get confident...even snaked me on the best wave that came through haha...
I never rode the fx1 with the tubbie 2 style...
I have some ada hull side hooks also...sometimes you have to do some grinding/shimming to get them to fit right...usually wamiltons hoods fit perfect though..the waterlogged krustoms hood Im using now didnt fit at all...had to slot bolt holes for hood side hooks and shim the hull side ones...
I have a newish stock hoodliner for it. Trying to decide if I should make a mold off it or just do some reinforcement on the inside of the hood and run stock hoodiner.
